Personality: Jewel is an outgoing girl very confident and determined. She is funny and relaxed. She loves to laugh and she is happy mostly 90% of the time. She is a loyal and truthful girl. For her, the family is the most thing important ever.

History: Before Taka became "Scar" he used to be a kind and peaceful lioness. He was a charming gentleman and easily could win the heart of any lioness of the pride. But Taka´s eyes was only on one girl: Sarafina. He fell in love very deeply of her and when he accept him, and their beautiful cub Jewel was born, he became the happiest lion of the world.
But... his happiness didn't last forever. The pressure of becoming king or prince of the pridelands gradually was embittering his heart. His greed and ambition were blinded his sight and soon he became a very different lion. 
Sarafina left him and found another mate. Time after that, Nala was born.
Jewel felt out of place now. Her dad didn't treat her like her daughter and her mom was too busy with her "new family".
Still, she didn't become a bitter girl. Her aunt and uncle Mufasa and Sarabi treated her with kindness and comprehension. She used to play with Simba and eventually she accepted Nala too. After all, she was her sister...her younger sister. Nala and Simba became very close, yeah, they were crushes and anyone could see that. Jewel had a lot of fun with this, she used to laugh bothering Nala about her "future boyfriend" Simba. Nala always responded with a "Ugh!" expression, and that killed of laugh to Jewel.

All was seen just fine but then...a tragedy. The young prince and the beloved King (Simba and Mufasa) died. Nala was devastated and for a long time she refused to see anyone. Jewel could not comfort her, so she stopped to try. Scar took the control of the Kingdom and named to Jewel the leading huntress. Now Scar seemed to recognize finally to her daughter, after all, she had a lot of features of him. And she was so happy to had a father that she was disposed to obey him in all that he ask. Jewel proved to be loyal, and obedient to this new king.
By then her mother died too. So Jewel felt that Scar was all that reminded of her family.
Nala realized they need to get help. The food was scarce, the herds were leaving the pridelands. Some lions were starving. The situation was a mess.
Nala planned her scape for a hunt on the night. But she faced Jewel at that time. Jewel figure it out her plan. And she knew what she supposed to do. She had to stopped but... it was her sister, her younger sister...and, if Jewel betrayed Nala. Her punish could be death... The heart of Jewel, felt sorry for her sister so...she helped her to escape.
Nala was grateful and...with tears on her eyes she had to run away that night. Knowing about the brutal punishment that Jewel had to feel because of her...
