Daughter of Emperor's daughter, a Princess of the Isu Keeney Pride

Appearance
Is sturdily built, medium-sized; has fur of light and dark shades and markings; has longer, thicker fur on chest, belly, head and cheek (long fur being a characteristic inherited from her maternal grandmother, Safi); when fully grown, her paws shape out to be quite large, a trait inherited from her maternal grandfather Obbler; usually has an innocent look on her face.
(Here is another picture to show her markings - Click )
Colours
Light tawny grey-brown, white and near-black shades; amber eyes with deep blue irises

Personality
Quiet little Kati Yaki is of warm nature, and she loves company. But although seeming an innocent, well-behaved little madame most of the time, she inherited her father's occasional silent-but-scary, fiery temper. On occasion she can be very brave. She has, towards many things that her parents begrudge, equally strong resent, if not even stronger. She is a loyal character.
Likes
Being with friends and family, company, cuddling, spending time with older lions/animals, listening to stories, water, her home, hippopotamuses, rivers (like the Kubwa, which runs through her home territory), hunting
Dislikes
Hippopotamuses (she fears yet admires them), climbing trees, anything her parents don't like; (used to dislike birds of prey very much in her early cub days, but not any more)

Friends and Relations
Romy (mother), Comoros (father), Abasi (mate), Alama, Almasi (daughters), Obbler, Safi (maternal grandparents), Takota (brother), Olg, Wazee (great-grandparents, maternal grandfather's side), Tanglemane, Kula (great-grandparents, maternal grandmother's side), Crikik (cousin-in-law), Sula, Kelly, Luna, Sheria, Rin, Jet (her surrogate aunties), Jafiya, Kudan, Imammu, Jot (her surrogate uncles), Kelele (her ''cousin''), other Isu Keeney Pride members, Kiara, Kovu and lions of the Pride Lands (friends)
Foes
Anything/one that threatens friends or family
Relationships with Other Lions
Hospitable towards everybody and anybody, considering they do not threaten her friends and especially her parents

History
Before Kati Yaki was born, there was terrible conflict between her family's pride (the Pride of Stones) and a group of lions led by General Jafiya and his mate Queen Jet. Kati was born after the conflict subsided, and the two lion sides united. Her father Comoros, a Scout lion in the Isu Keeney Pride, was previously an adviser serving under the Emperor Obbler of the Pride of Stones during the former war. Her mother, Romy, was the daughter of the Emperor himself.
Kati Yaki grew up greatly loved. She was not only cared for by her mother and father, but also by her many aunts and uncles (none of them her true, biological relatives) as well as her maternal grandparents, Obbler and Safi, and her ''cousin'' Kelele was often around to spend time with. As a cub Kati Yaki enjoyed rubbing shoulders with the elder generation, preferring time with older lions to time with those closer to her own age. From her surrogate aunts and uncles (most often from Auntie Rin and Uncle Jot) Kati got to hear stories of days passed, and of the War fought before she was born.
Many rivers flowed throughout the land of the Isu Keeney lions, whose caves surrounded a large waterfall. Growing up around this abundance of water, Kati grew to adore it. She was fascinated by everything about rivers; their movement, their power and their inhabitants (including the many hippopotamuses, great beasts that both terrified and awed Kati, which occupied the waterways near the Isu Keeney Pride boundaries). She loved going on romps along the largest river in the territory, the Kubwa. Many times, up until her adult years, she tried to excel at swimming, but never managed to progress much further than a clumsy paddle. Although she was, arguably, better than anybody else in the Isu Keeney Pride.
In her cub days, Kati Yaki wasn't one to stray. Being quite an obedient girl she only once wandered off on her own. That was on the day when a group of Pridelanders, led by Queen Kiara, visited the Isu Keeney Pride, having been invited by Kati's mother Princess Romy to join a traditional family hunting event. Kati Yaki was allowed to tag along to watch the hunt, under the supervision of Uncle Imammu, but she managed to slip away, resulting in her almost being made a meal of by birds of prey. After that near-death experience, Kati never dared to walk alone far from theIsu Keeney caves until she was much, much older. As it turned out, she also learned not to fear birds of prey . . .
As time went by Kati was introduced to hunting, once old enough to join the senior lionesses. Being a very swift runner, walker, and stalker, she had no trouble catching up with her prey. She killed swiftly and cleanly too. It was clear she was quite a pro at hunting, which she liked very much. But swimming was still number one for her, however bad she was at it. She was sure she would perfect the skill some day; and in time, she did indeed, and taught her younger brother, Takota (and anybody else who was interested - her cousin-in-law Chrikik included), everything she knew about swimming.
Upon reaching full maturity, Kati found that she was betrothed to a lion from the Pride Lands called Abasi. They met and became mates one spring, beginning a happy family life together. In later years, they had two daughters: Alama and Almasi. (They both got swimming lessons as soon as they were the right age!)
