Personality: Is alot like his mother an energetic and playful cub but at the same time he can be alittle snotty and rude. He often thinks of himself as a great lion like the first king who ruled the pride lands and often likes to show off in front of the ladies. He can be loyal to his friends and even to any possible crushes but he is one who takes his looks very seriously and isn't one to back down during a fight. Katungi is also a cub who likes praise and attention, he is what most call a glory hound and no one really knows where he gets it from.

History: Katungi was born in a loving respected family but being the only one to look like his father he got most of the attention from some of the other lions saying how adorable and cute he was and his blue eyes made him irrasistable. Katungi grew on that attention from his parents and from other lions and grew to enjoy it, he loved to pick on his brother Chuma who was his little brother so he felt that he had to constantly protect him  and at the same time bug him. Because of Katungi's attitude him and Chuma fought constantly and he was always getting the blame which made him grow to dislike Chuma somewhat and one night he yelled at Chuma wishing he was never around and Chuma was hurt and ran away.

Katungi thought he ran to mother so after alittle while of playing he went home and Themba asked him where Chuma was and thats when Katungi began to worry his brother never went away from home and Katungi exsplained he didn't know where his brother went which worried Themba and she ran off to go find him. Katungi wanted to help but Themba exsplained that it was too late to be out alone so she got Chakide and went off to look for Chuma while Katungi and his sisters stayed home in the den with the other lions. It was a long time before Themba and Chakide came back but they came back with a small bundle that wasn't moving and thats when Katungi's heart went as cold as ice almost like it had stopped beating, his mother had been crying due to the fact that her eyes were redder then Nimbala's mane and his father looked heartbroken too.

Katungi ran up but was stopped by Keisha who exsplained that he wouldn't want to see what they had, Katungi yelled out that he wanted to see his brother but Themba just bursted into tears and exsplained that Chuma was dead and that they found him just alittle far away from home. Katungi felt horrible he felt to blame because he had wished his brother was never around and now because of him the wish came true. He looked at his mother and siblings and his father and felt grief hit him hard as he started to cry and exsplain to his parents how sorry he was but his parents did not understand and thought he was just exstreamly upset at the loss of his younger brother but even now Katungi blames himself for his brothers death and barely speaks to anyone now because of it.

Relation to TLK: Is the son of Themba and Chakide who were raised by Nimbala and Keisha and Nimbala is the son of Simba and Nala.
