Kiraka was born and hour before Kuwinda was. It had been only a few days after Kovu’s death but the pride rejoiced at the birth of the 2 cubs.

 Everyone was busy that day. Kurudi was helping Kopa and Vitani when Makini was helping Kiara. Kurudi looked down at her new brother and she thought he was perfect. She vowed to do her best at protecting him.

 Kiraka was a playful cub – Simba was reminded of himself – and he loved to be with Kuwinda. They went everywhere together; never leaving each other’s sides.

 They constantly got into mischief!

 On one occasion they decided to pounce on Simba when he was sleeping. They never decided to do that again! They also interrupted the privacy of Kurudi and Makini when they were alone. They also went out on trips to different places where they shouldn’t have gone.

 There was one person that was no relation to him whatsoever in the pride that Kiraka spent lots of time with. This was Shaha – the pride’s storyteller. The two of them would sit at the top of pride rock together for several hours a day with Shaha telling stories and Kiraka listening intently.

 As a teen, Kiraka spent a lot of time daydreaming of being alone in a jungle. There he had the time of his life, swimming (which Simba had taught him), and admiring the views, however, his dreams always ended with Kuwinda entering. He had been fed up with her at this stage in his life. He preferred looking at the present and the past whereas Kuwinda was always talking about the future. She had even got Timon to do his “You’ve got to put your past behind ya.” Thing but Kiraka found it even more annoying. He spent even more time by himself than with Kuwinda and the rest of his pride.

 As he entered adulthood Kiraka realised Kuwinda was right. They spent their time together making future plans. They kept asking their siblings for advice on cubs and caring for their family.

 When no one was expecting it Kuwinda told the pride that she was pregnant.
