Personality: Lyon is a righteous lion who seeks justice in any situation. He believes in second chances but is very cautious if he's been betrayed beforehand. He is protective of his loved ones. Extremely protective. Especially of his mischievious son, Raja.

History: When Lyon and his sister, Leona, were born, their father was killed during a hunting accident. His father had been known to be clumsy and not very good at hunting, but they also knew that he always wanted to try and improve his skills, especially when his mate became pregnant with the siblings. His mother, having taken care of cubs before, didn't find it difficult to raise Lyon and his sister.

Lyon met Kat when she had run away from her phsycopath of a father. He was away from his sister and mother, he was the only one strong enough to hunt, but he offered to bring her to stay with them. She graciously acccepted his offer, but refused the meat he had caught. He learned that she was a vegetarian, Lyon and his family decided to convert and be ones as well, it also put them at ease since Lyon wouldn't have to leave for many days at a time.

Lyon grew closer with Kat, and it was likewise for Kat. She bonded with his sister and mother especially, but she became emotional whenever he asked her about her family.

Lyon wedded Kat in private, they didn't want to make a big fuss out of it, and it was only the four of them anyways. A year afterwards, they had their first and only cub; Raja. However, Raja was born sickly, which worried the newly weds greatly. Kat suggested they returned to her birth pride, which had a sha-lion. Lyon, his mother, and sister agreed to this idea and left immediately.

When they arrived in the territory, the pride, the Black Moor Regiment, welcomed them with open arms. The sha-lion checked little Raja and diagnosed him with a little cold, a cold that wouldn't last much longer. Lyon and Kat still needed to look after him just in case it did get any worse.

The king, Kopa, decided to step down and let Lyon take his place, seeing how Kat's father was once his royal advisor. Lyon was very hesitant at first, he'd never been one to lead before and felt he was too soft. Kopa encouraged him, however, saying that he had been too hard on the pride, they needed a break. Rebellious teenagers were less likely to sneak out if they had a softer, more trusting king breathing down their necks.

This made Lyon feel a little better about himself as a king, but Kopa insisted he assisted him in training Raja on his role as a prince. Lyon couldn't turn him down, Kopa was royal-born afterall, he knew the ropes of how to be a prince.
