Personality: As her name states Makena is normally a rather happy young cub. She is known to brighten anyone's day with just a smile. Those who have met Makena know her for a loving and appealing girl but she can also be a bit hyper and sometimes even annoying. Annoying as she is her heart is usually always in the right place. She can also be a little oblivious not really aware that she annoys others or when she's been some place for too long.

History: Life started out good for little Makena, She was happy with her mother and father who owned they're pride. She was actually known to be a princess as well but not everything stays the way it's meant too. One night while she slept she awoke to her mother's calling. Her mother picked her up and started to run only thing Makena remembered was hearing her father telling them to run and not look back. Makena and her mother travelled for days and with what little food Makena's mother caught was given to her. Eventually Makena's mother was suffering from starvation and soon collasped on the ground telling her daughter she had to rest. So Makena fell asleep next to her but she wasn't aware that night her mother had died while she rested.

The next day Makena tried to wake her mother but to no avail the lioness never awoken. So she started to call out to her but again nothing worked it was then she heard some one coming near and turned around to see a pale lioness near her. Makena begged her to help her mother but the lioness explained that she was already gone and there was no helping her. Makena grew upset and began to weep upon her mother's lifeless form but the pale lioness never left her side which made her feel a littel comforted. The lioness decided to take it back to her pride and though Makena did not wish to leave her mother she did not have a choice and fallowed the lioness back to her pride.

Makena had then found out that the lioness knew what it was like to lose someone she loved for she had lost her mate in a horrible accident which Makena could relate too. The lionesses name was Ari and her pride consisted both females and male lions which was rare for her to see she was only use to seeing one male in a pride not two or three in one. Makena thought maybe just maybe that they could help eachother out since they both lost someone they could count on the other for emotional support and maybe she would gain something more out of it. 

Relation to TLK: Possibly adopted by Ari who is the granddaughter of Mufasa.
