Likes: her parents, playing with her sister Suala, chasing rodents, birds, little cubs, watching the sun set and being the oldest of Kiara and Kovu’s cubs.

Dislikes: her brother Mfano(sometimes), failing, awkward silences, disappointing someone, getting dirty and bugs

personality: as a cub Mali is playful and social. She loves to have fun. She learns things very quickly, making her more skillful than other cubs her age. As an adult Mali becomes more serious. Because she’s the future queen, she doesn’t have much time to have a lot of fun anymore. She’s proud, loyal, intelligent and resourceful. She’s also irritated quickly and tends to be protective of her little sister Suala.

Appearance: Mali’s colours are a lot like her father’s, but somewhat lighter. She has green eyes and a dark brown nose. Her build is more like her mother’s, but Mali is more muscular.

History: Mali was born one year after the outlanders joined the pridelands. Simba retired just before Mali’s birth, making Mali’s father, Kovu, the new king. Things were calm and peaceful in the pridelands and lots of cubs were being born in the pride lands. Mali was a smart and fun cub, always trying to make her parents proud. Kiara became pregnant of her second cub, and Mali was absolutely thrilled that she was going to be a big sister. She would often dream about playing with her little sister. But when the cub was born it turned out to be a boy and Mali’s disappointment couldn’t be greater. Her parents named him Mfano. Her parents spoiled Mfano and Mali became a little jealous of him. When Mali was a teen, Mfano was always following her around. It was as if he liked to bother her. It was also at this time that Kovu and Kiara started to train Mali as their successor. Mali picked things up quickly and after a while she would help her parents with their royal duties. She took over her mother’s duties when she became pregnant of her third cub. Mali was delighted when Kiara gave birth to a baby girl. Her parents named her Suala. Suala was a sweet and kind cub and quickly became popular. Mali was very fond of her as well and would often babysit her. When Mali became an adult, she became a huntress. She loved her job and still does today.
