History:
Mansa was born in the Canyon Pride. He was the first born cub of Queen Zalika and her mate, so he was future king.
He and his sister, Winda, were very good friends. Winda was trained to be a hunter, while Mansa was trained to be king.
When they were both a year old Zalika gave birth to two more cubs, Enzi and Bakari. They were naughty cubs and liked to annoy Winda and Mansa.
When Mansa was a young adult he met Maska, a lioness his age. She was the sister of Ni and had just ran away from her old pride. The two of them fell in love, and eventually became mates. At this time Winda was a very good hunter and was in Cheche's hunting team. Bakari had left to start his own pride, but Enzi stayed and became on of the guards. Mansa and Maska became king and queen of the Canyon Pride.
Mansa and Maska's first cubs were Desemba and Munira. Desemba was the first born, so he was Mansa's heir.
Some time later Maska became pregnant again. They visited the Pride Lands, and stayed there for a while. During on of their meetings with Simba, Maska gave birth to a female cub named Dhahabu. She became the best friend of Kiara, but when Kiara befriended Tiifu and Zuri, Dhahabu left her. Soon after that they returned to the Canyon Pride.
Eventually Maska had more cubs; Sabaya and Joto. Mansa didn't seem to be too interested in Joto, mainly because he was small and weak.
Mansa trained Desemba to becaome king, and Desemba seemed very interested in his lessons. Desemba was Mansa's favorite cub.
About a year later Maska had two more cubs. The girl was named Ziada and the boy was named Kaleb.
Relation to TLK: He is Ni's sister's mate.
