Basic Personality: Mash is reckless, aggressive and undisciplined to the core. He believes his actions against other prides are justified, thus he doesn’t see himself as the ruthless destroyer he truly is. He has a passion for fire, thus is also called the “fire bringer” in the desert. He can be cunning, and often uses wildfire to his advantage to attack an already weakened pride. When he gets caught up in the heat of battle, he tends to be extremely reckless. His temper is almost as short as his patience is, and he is prone to fits of rage.

In depth Analysis:  Underneath everything Mash will occasionally wonder if he is truly doing the right thing, sometimes it doesn’t feel right. However he never expected this path to be an easy one. Even though Scar was before his time, for unknown reasons Mash believes Scar was the only true ruler the pridelands ever had. His primary goal is to bring about the reign of Scar once again, to rule as he did. However, Mash enlists the help of other lions as opposed to hyenas- which he despises. Mash will often go out of his way to terrorize hyenas.  It’s unclear if Mash is truly forgetful of his past life or chooses to block it out, but no one really knows. It’s not a question most dare to ask him. Part of his personality entails the rage and contempt he holds for Simba and all the other pridelanders. Along with the priderlanders, he also hates those who do not follow the system of monarchy. This includes Kisiri and her group.

Background Information:  Though his past life is a mystery, he clearly knows who Scar is. He claims his parents abandoned him at a time he needed them most. However, this could be a violent twist of the actual events. Either way, he had been left to fend for himself at a young age. He was raised by a group of outlanders who didn’t affiliate with Zira much. Nonetheless, Scar’s teachings found their way to him and he soon abandoned his rogue family. Why he never joined Zira is also a mystery, but he seemed to have some sort of a grudge against her.

Fully on his own, he adopted the alias Mashimo somewhere along the way.  After Zira’s death Mash and his group of “last followers” became the primary keepers of Scar’s way of life. As they gain in number, the threat of their presence looms over the desert like a storm. After Mashimo gains followers by wiping out other prides, he plans to set his sights on the ultimate prize: The Pridelands. The group of infidels in the oasis, however, are next on his list. 

If his desgin looks somewhat familar, there's a reason for this...But I won't spoil it just yet. ;3
