Personality: Sort of shy when you first meet her, once she warms up to you, she's very playful and energetic around her friends. She's almost always upbeat, especially with company, and it's not often you see her sad. In serious times, she tends to bring out the brighter side, but when it can't be brought out, then she tends to act a little lonely. She isn't the best at expressing anger, and often can't find the right words to do it. She forgives others easily, and doesn't like to hold grudges much. Exceedingly loyal, she wouldn't do anything to betray her 'sister' Kiara and her pride. but, she isn't the best at keeping secrets, or staying quiet, even if the time calls for it. Talkative and very loud, she is, however, caring and kind, and absolutely adores cubs.

History: Mpya was born to two lions who had run from their pride with a forbidden relationship. She was named Mpya, since she was the start of their new lives. Though the life of a rogue was tough, they managed, with her father watching Mpya while her mother hunted for them. Later, as she grew more, her parents wanted her to grow up in a nice, friendly environment, much like they had, so they sought out a pride. They gathered as much information as they could from other rogues, and decided on the Pridelands, since the king seemed fair and resonable. They went to their home, and begged Simba, who was deciding when he saw Kiara and Mpya playing. He accepted them into the pride, and Mpya began to adapt to her new environment.

She became great friends with the king, queen, prince, and princess. At first, Simba and Nala planned to betroth Mpya to Kopa, since Mpya's mother was a princess of another pride, and they both seemed to be good friends, but later, they found out that's all they were; friends. When Kiara told her of meeting Kovu, she took an interest in finding a new playmate, but Simba kept a closer watch on all the cubs of Priderock, namely Kiara and Kopa. She also grew a close bond with the elderly Sarafina, who seemed to have a great interest in cubs and spending time with them. She only spent a short time with Sarabi, but grew close nevertheless, and it was heartbreaking when she was attacked and killed by Zira. She didn't hold it against the lioness though, as she had a forgiving nature.

As she grew, it showed that her heart lay as a cub sitter rather than a huntress like her mother. As she grew, she learned from Sarafina how to be kind and how to care for them properly. She aged, and formed a deep bond with the lions of Priderock, though she still had a better relationship with Kiara and Kopa. When Kovu showed up, she kept her distance, as instructed by king Simba, though she saw Kiara disobey this order. Then, the war came. Even though Simba wanted all the lionesses to go to battle, she wanted to stay home, but was forced to go. In the battle, she kept more to the back, not wanting to get injured much. She was hurt slightly by the Outlanders; but when Kiara and Kovu stopped it, she was thankful, for she knew she couldn't possibly harm another lion. Once the two prides joined together, and all was well, Nala gave birth to Kion, her third cub. While Nala was out hunting, Mpya and Sarafina often looked after him, and she often played games with him.
