Mwezi was born in the Mountain Pride and she grew up Malka. They were great friends and would do everything together. Then, one day, Malka goes off with his mother, Hissa, and has a brilliant adventure with Simba, which makes Mwezi upset. He promised to take her out next time, which he did.

The two of them didn’t meet Simba, instead they met Tama and Kula. They were good friends and Mwezi really enjoyed being with them. However, they weren’t allowed to the Mountain Pride and Mwezi and Malka weren’t allowed to their Pride, so they split up.

That night, Malka didn’t stop going on about Tama. Mwezi just fell asleep.

When they were teens, Malka decided that they should try and find Tama and Kula again. Mewzi agreed. They set off and they soon came across their Pride. Kula had a mate called Chumvi, who came from her Pride, but Tama was still looking for someone. She had also thought about Malka a lot since their first meeting and her mother agreed for her to go with Malka to his Pride, but return once in a while to keep in touch. Mwezi thought it was very romantic, but then caught sight of a teenage lion talking with Chumvi. They made eye contact and it held. He approached her.

“Hello, what’s your name?”

“Mwezi, how about you?”

“Tojo.”

Then she found all of a sudden some blue birds coming over and sitting on his head.

“Who are these?”

“My birds. They’re my friends.”

“They’re cute!”

“As are you…”

Mwezi blushed. She really liked Tojo. Then she sighed as Malka and Tama wanted to leave quickly.

“See you soon.”

Mwezi often came back to Tojo because she would accompany Tama back on her visits. Soon, she stays there for longer periods of time until they stay together permanently.

Tojo didn’t really want to stay in the Pride, so the two of them wandered the grasslands, often returning to catch up with their friends, Malka, Tama, Chumvi and Kula.

Soon, Mwezi fell pregnant. She had a beautiful cub called Safi.

Then Tojo decided that they had better return to the Pride to raise her. They found out that Chumvi and Kula also had a cub, a male cub, called Kavu, and they settled down and raised them together.

Then, one sad day, Kula and Chumvi were taking Kavu and Safi for a walk when they got attacked by a brown lioness with a stripe and some other lionesses. Chumvi fought bravely whilst Kula protected the cubs, but it wasn’t enough. Chumvi got overpowered and the leader took Kavu.

When Kula returned with just Safi, Mwezi and Tojo were over joyed, but their friend’s grief washed over them too.

Safi never recovered from the loss of her friend.

However, Mwezi decided to visit her family with her cub to see whether there was anything they could do. There she found that Malka and Tama had a cub called Erevu. Safi got on really well with Erevu and Tojo said they could stay. Malka and Tama invited Kula and Chumvi to live with them too, and the 6 of them lived in that Pride, gradually recovering from that tragic day.
