Personality: Nuru is known as quite the grumpy lioness. Due to what has happened in her life, she's not the easiest to get along with, and often sends others away from her. Nuru isn't known to be sociable, and avoids other lions and only makes contact if she has to. She's not afraid to lie and cheat to get what she needs, and was know as quite to cunning lioness in her day. Despite her appearance, she isn't as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She's been known to have a temper, and many believe her to be a witch who snatches up cubs in the night. Cold to others, if you manage to develop a bond with her, then she must really trust you, because she doesn't give out trust easily.

History: Nuru was born to two rogues who didn't have the best relationship. Her father left her mother as soon as she was pregnant, and her mother remained bitter about it. She began to live with her cranky mother and sister, and soon gave birth to all regular cubs....except Nuru. She was born pure white, which caused her mother great disgust. Her grandmother often had to watch her and the cubs while her mother and aunt went hunting. Often times, her sibling would pick on her, and her grandmother wouldn't do anything about it. She soon became as bitter as her family, and began to isolate herself from her family. Soon, her grandmother passed away from old age, and her aunt died on a hunt. Her mother, desperate for help with her cubs, tried to seduce many males, but none wanted the burden of cubs, and left her alone. Her mother, angry for this, took her anger out on Nuru, since many of the deal breakers came when they saw Nuru, for she was considered an omen.

When Nuru was nearly a teenager, her mother was killed by a male lion (The Selfish Lion) for getting in the way of a hunt. Nuru didn't feel too bad, and quickly abandoned her distressed siblings. Her mother never took the time to help her learn how to hunt, but she always watched the lessons between her mother and siblings, and payed close attention to her mother's hunts. Though it was hard at first, she soon got the hang of it. Out of habit, she kept away from other lions, even those who wanted to help. Sometimes, especially during the dry season, she ent hungry, and sometimes nearly died, but she was a fighter, and wasn't going down without a good fight. Then, during a particularly bad hunting season, she stole food from a young male lion ("King" Joe), which left him hungry, but kept her alive.

When she was about four years old, she found out about humans and their slow, careless cattle. She began to hunt the cows and goats, which caused problems because the humans began to shoot at anything that got near their cattle. She nearly fell victim, but was lucky enough to get out alive. Even after her ordeal, she still goes near humans, taking their cattle if she can't find prey elsewhere. When she was about six years old, she met an adult pregnant lioness named Uru. She talked to her over the span of a few months with the queen, and soon became friends with her. But, after she gave birth she left, knowing Uru would be caught up in her royal duties and motherly duties. She later met a male leopard (One-Eye's father), and they became companions for a few months, helping eachother hunt before he left. Now, as an old lioness, others often tell stories about her, saying she's and evil spirit that wasn't allowed to return to the underworld, and roams this earth, searching for young cubs to eat.
