Personality: Raphael is a laid back and fun loving lion, he is really flirty and he loves getting attention from the ladies. He can be a little smug at times, and a bit of a show off, and often attempts to impress others. Raph is a very loving and protective big brother and would do anything for his siblings, and if someone even so much as looks at them in the wrong way, especially his little sister, he will go after them. Among the three of them, Raphael is often the voice of reason, and being a good negotiator, he often ends up being the one breaking up arguments between his younger siblings.

Likes: His family, the pride, wrestling with his brother, flirting, napping in the sun.

Dislikes: Water, hyenas, thunder storms,  when his siblings argue.

Story: Raphael was born along with two younger siblings in a time when the Isu Keeney pride was celebrating the defeat of a long time enemy, Lagiza the Weaver. Since he was the oldest, he always felt a great deal of responsibility towards his siblings and often tended to even be a little over protective towards them, especially his sister Naomi. He always had a particularly close relationship with his brother Delko, and Raph was usually the one he came over to whenever he had something on his mind, or when he just wanted to goof off and have a good time. One day, whilst on a walk with his father and brother, Raphael got distracted and started chasing a small lizzard, and not watching where he was going, the cub fell into a river. Just as he was about to go into a waterfall, he was grabbed from the water by king Kovu of the Pridelands, who placed the scared and trembling cub on the ground, as Zumaridi and Delko rushed to the scene. Delko nudged his brother, and Zumaridi expressed his heart felt thanks to Kovu, and the three headed back home, and from that on Raphael developed a huge fear of water, which is why he never learnt to swim. Time passed, and Raphael grew into a teenager, when he suddenly ran into Kovu again, and the elderly lion remembered him. The two got to talking, and Kovu told Raph stories about his youth in the Outlands and about eventually becoming the king of the Pridelands. They started meeting occasionally, and as Kovu shared more stories about his life, Raphael began to admire him more and more, and decided to one day become a strong warrior like him.

Relation to TLK: Was saved by Kovu, and later became friends with him.
