Backstory: Shasta and his twin sister Jasmine, Were born in a pride just outside of Prideland territory. They had a big brother who was just a few years older them, who was being cubsitted by Nala whilst his mother gave birth, His name was Kaleb. Jaden, Mufasa, (who was good friends with Jaden, Shasta's fathers Cubhood) was there to Witness their birth along with Rafiki who was there to aid the birth. He helped Esmerelda and Jaden pick the names for the two cubs, They named the male cub, Shasta and the female Jasmine. Shasta was born a few minutes after Jasmine as was slightly underweight and smaller then his sister.

A few weeks after his birth, Shastas parents went to the pride lands along with his brother and sister to visit Mufasa and his family, only to be told by Rafiki about Mufasa and Simbas death and that Scar, who Shasta's father has never got along well with was now King. Distraught about the news, His family went home and Jaden held a ceremony in tribute to Simba and Mufasa. He opened his pride to any rouge lions who were getting away from Scars reign.

As a cub, There wasn't much other cubs around besides his siblings to play with but Shasta didnt mind, As long as he has his family he was happy. Shasta spent most of his time as a cub, playing with his big brother and sister and spending time with his pride. He knew when he was older either him, Jasmine or Kaleb would take on their parents roles and King or Queen. Whether he was the next in line to be King or not didnt really bother him, In fact he didn't really want to be King. He just couldn't see himself doing that.

One day whilst relaxing beside the prides waterhole, Shasta was called by his sister, who wanted to take him somewhere, He didn't really get to choose as his sister was already dragging him off to the place, Afte a while he noticed that they were getting closer and close to leaving Gesin pride territory and got a bit finicky about leaving. His sister tried to convince him to come with her, but just like his mother, Shasta was a stubborn little cub when he wanted to be, Along with being a 'goody-two shoes'. After a few minutes of talking, Jasmine managed to convince her stubborn little brother to come along with him. They eventually turned up at the Pridelands, Shasta remembered being told about this place, It was his fathers home and pride as a cub before he left as a young adult to start his own. He remembered his father saying a lion had taken over the throne recently who wasnt too fond of visitors and warned him to not go there, But considering he didnt know the way back, He decided to stay. Eventually he was introduced to Nala, Kula, Tama, Malka, Tojo, Chumvi and Mheetu. It turned out that Jasmine had been visiting the pridelands for a couple of weeks now, she had just kept it a secret, Besides Mheetu the other cubs were all rather older then Shasta and were close to pre-teenhood, He was a little weary of them at first but soon warmed up to them. One his second visit, He met Aziza, Mheetu's half sister and felt quite attracted to the cub, when he visited the pridelands, He would often hang out with her and into his pre-teen hood, He eventually realised he had a crush on the lioness.

As a teeanger, Him and his siblings were being trained in royal duties and other things in preparation for adulthood, so he didnt get to visit the pridelands much. But when he did the first lion he would go see was always Aziza. He liked her a lot despite her being Scars daughter, he could she was different and he liked her the way she was.

Just at the end of his Teenage years, There was a ceremony in which the next future King or Queen was chosen, He still didn't really want to be king and hoped he wasn't, He had more of a passion for healing. Shasta and his siblings had to take exams in leadership, fighting, patrolling, problem solving and hunting. After the tests were finished and three had a rest, Jaden announced the future ruler, It was Jasmine. Shasta was very happy with his sister being chosen.

One day, as a young adult, Tama and Kula came running to the Gesinlands, begging for help. Simba had returned and needed help taking down Scar and getting his throne back. Shasta, Kaleb and Jasmine all decided to help along with their parents too. They helped attack the Hyenas, Shasta wanted to help Simba with Scar too but was stopped by his parents who told him it was Simbas fight. Simba defeated Scar, The hyenas were kicked out and the pridelands were saved. Simba recogised, Jaden, Esmerelda and Kaleb from when he was a cub and was happy to see them all. Simba was introduced to Shasta and his sister and thanked them for helping, Shasta told him about how he and his sibings would visit the pridelands as cubs and asked if they still could, Simba told them his family could visit any time they liked. Shasta said goodbye and his Family went home......
