Personality: Xavier is a very kind and caring lion. He always puts others before himself, and helps anyone in trouble. However, he’s still got a fun side to him and he loves to play pranks on his pridemates. He also loves learning about being King, and takes it very seriously. He does however have an angry/upset side to him, but he rarely shows this side.

History:

Xavier was the firstborn of Kovu and Kiara’s litter, so he was destined to be King. He became the leader of his two sisters, whom he loved very much. They would always play pranks on each other and bicker, but in the end they were inseperable. Kovu would often take Xavier out to teach him about being King, but the young cub always found time to be with his sisters. After a few weeks though the siblings weren’t allowed to leave Pride Rock. They asked her mother about this and Kiara told them that a nearby pride was invading the Pridelands and that they wanted to keep the cubs safe. The siblings understood this, but when Xavier and his siblings were older cubs 5 lions from the Mountain Pride came to Pride Rock with important news. They told the Pridelanders how their pride would make a trade. Kiara was skeptical, but Kovu was interested. He asked them what they wanted, and the leader of the group declared that King Enzo’s son, Prince Amir, needed a future mate, for he was a cub. But King Enzo decided that no female was suitable for him. Enzo wanted his son’s future mate to be from the Pridelands. They also told Kovu that the lioness he picked would then be in their pride, and that she couldn’t leave. They would have to visit her. The lionesses were outraged, but Kovu asked what he would get in return. The group leader told him that the Mountain Pride wouldn’t raid prey from the Pridelands and wouldn’t attack them. Kovu immediately and without hesitation accepted the deal, much to his pride’s dismay. The Mountain Pride members left, saying that they would come back in a few days for Prince Amir’s future mate. Xavier was sad about this because he didn’t want to lose a pride member, but he knew that his father would make the right choice. Finally the day came when the Mountain Pride lions returned, and Xavier was shocked when his father announced that Nadia would be going. Xavier was devastated as well as Tani, and the whole pride was angry. The Mountain lions, however, ignored the protests of Nadia being taken away by the Pridelanders and the largest lion picked her up and carried her away. Xavier could only listen as he heard his sister’s cries grow fainter and fainter until they stopped. Life at Pride Rock was never the same. The lionesses began to avoid Kovu and only took orders from Kiara. Kiara also avoided her mate, and rarely talked with him. Xavier and Tani also spent time with their mother and the other lionesses. Kiara took up the role of mentoring Xavier, which he was happy about, but he was still devastated with not having his youngest sister around. Time went on though, and soon Xavier was a young adult. At this point Xavier would avoid his father at all costs, and he could see that this upset Kovu greatly, but Xavier kept to his vow of never forgiving his father for giving Nadia up. Kiara was growing older though, and soon the time came where Xavier had to become King. Xavier didn’t have a mate though, so his sister Tani helped him with the Queen duties. When Xavier became King he vowed to his pride that they would get Nadia back home. The were overjoyed with this, and they all work together to make a plan to get Nadia back.
