From a young age, Zalika was a big daydreamer and spent most of his time coming up with ridiculous fantasies that would never come true, but it didn’t bother him.

His parents were rogues and they knew Zalika had no chance of finding a mate when he was with them, so as a young adult they let him wander of on his own in search of love.

Zalika walked for miles and miles without seeing another lion. He would provide for himself and keep himself clean and presentable, just in case he did see another lion or lioness.

One day, Zalika saw two lionesses in the distance, but they were with another lion. He was so desperate for love that he decided to follow the little group, knowing that the lion had to pick one of them for a mate, leaving the other one for him.

As Zalika followed the group, he started to fall in love with a light cream lioness, whom he heard was called Hala.

Soon they came to a Pride called the Utendaji Pride. Zalika still didn’t join straight away and he watched from a distance how the lion chose the other lioness, not Hala.

That was when Zalika went to introduce himself, and ask to join the Pride.

The Utendaji Pride was set up so I was able to educate everyone on musicals, one of my favourite things (get the pun?)! I just love them and their songs are so powerful, so each member of the Utendaji Pride is related to a different musical. Every picture of them will relate to a song and I will post the link of the song so you are able to listen to it, as well as a context in the story of the musical.
