The long wait for more information on the new TV series, The Lion Guard, is now over!
A clip showing Kion in action has been revealed, shown here in this short video:
The television film, called 'Return of the Roar', is set to air on The Disney Channel in Novermber, preparing for the television series on Dinsey Junior next year.

Also revealed are some of the voices of the cast.
Kion: Max Charles
Bunga: Joshua Rush
Ono: Atticus Shaffer
Fuli: Diamond White
Beshte: Dusan Brown
Mufasa: James Earl Jones (reprising the role)
Simba: Rob Lowe
Nala: Gabrielle Union
Timon: Kevin Schon (reprising the role from the Timon and Pumbaa TV series)
Pumbaa: Ernie Sabella (reprising the role)
Rafiki: Khary Payton
Mzingo: Greg Ellis
Kiara and Zazu are also set to appear, but their voice actors have not been revealed.
We also know that Education and Science experts from Disney's Animal Kingdom have been advising the project, so hopefully the characteristics and behaviours of the African animals have been preserved within the film and the series.
I hope all you Lion King fans feel as excited as I am.

Well that's some really fine animation for a TV series! I bet they did
it with a higher quality for the promotional purpose and it'll be a
bit less refined in the series itself, but it's still very
promising! And that's also very promising for the future Ducktales series, if they keep a similar traditional style  |

I love that screenshot Troll! I think I could get used to Simba and
Nala looking like that, and their designs aren't too altered, heading
more for TLK1 than TLK2 designs I personally think. I think Kion reminds me of Mufasa more than Simba, but then again I think Simba would've been a lot like Mufasa anyway! |
