For those members in Australia, you may or may not be aware that The Lion King Musical has been showing in Sydney and Melbourne for roughly two years.
Well, it was announced just a few days ago that the show will be making it's way to Perth by November this year!
This is the first time the lion king has been to perth, despite the fact the movie has been out for almost 21 years and the musical 18 (in New York 1997)

Previews of the show started on the 15th of oct 1997 and opened to public 13th of November

The show has 25 animals species in it , including fish and birds.

They use over 232 puppets, this including shadow puppets, full sized puppets and rod puppets.

27 of the puppets used are kite birds

the biggest puppets are the the 18 foot giraffes. 

The smallest , a mouse of scar’s being only 5 inches.

"hakuna matata” is said 25 times in the show
