I have made many modifications to all the fan sections, in order to
"harmonize" them (they have all been created at different times of the
life of the site(s), so they were not created the same way)
This means that you can now see the status of what you send, on the send page (just like the fanarts and fan images)
Also, the moderators now have better moderation tools, with something
which displays a marker when there are new things to moderate.
For this reason, there may be many bugs on the fan sections - I didn't
have time to test everything, so if something seems not to work
correctly : contact me!
(To Mods => forget the old administration pages, now use only the pages provided in the "Moderation panel")
Also, another change is that the projects and contests now need to be
validated before they can be send on the site (just like the other fan
sections)
I think there were way too many contests that were "not serious" enough
to be there. I have added a rule which clearly says that only serious
projects/contests will be accepted now.
I request that the mods be strict on this section, because members
create way too many projects/contests and hope that the other members
will do all the work for them. (easy to identify this kind of contests
: usually there is only one line of description badly written)
The creator of the project can now also participate by sending files
(this wasn't possible before, but I think it should be, so that the
creator can show examples of what he's looking for, or just for
participating to the project too)
I will also remove the display of the contests which deadline has been
reached (with more or less 3 months, to give the time needed for
possible awards), and require a deadline for all projects so that they
won't stay forever even when finished.
That's all for now! I'm trying to make the site code clean for, well, new arrivals?
