I get the idea. I'll take this into account for the galleries revamping (I can't tell you when it'll be done, though)

It's a good idea to test out on this source, and if it is successful, it should be shared to the other sources. I would suggest calling the section "Templates" since it would encompass line arts and the bases/"blank renders" (the term "render" is typically refer to 3D animation pieces and is usually inaccurately used on this site).
If it were possible, I wouldn't make people resubmit their works to the new section, but convert certain images to the new gallery. This would remove a hassle factor from the members, allowing us the enjoy this transition rather than dread it with the coming gallery clean up and renovation.
But I am excited for this, it will be very nice for newer members to find templates without asking where other artists find them. Sounds like the Site Boosters were a nice addition to the staff.

Steet - We are all very sorry, but we do hope it could be a possibility in the coming gallery revamp, if you agree.
A base comes from a screenshot, whereas a line art comes from a drawing.
Categories could also be possible, if maybe there was a gallery filter for types of images, such as desktops, coloured bases and blank bases, as an example.

Troll - I totally understand what you were saying, but we have PMed steet.
What I was thinking was basically another fanimage gallery, but just for bases. It would just be like posting in the fanimage gallery, so each person has their separate folder, not all going into one big folder. I understand how difficult that would be!
So the same coding would be used for the base section as the fanimage section, with just a few changes to rules and titles, etc.
I apologise if this was suggesting we were going ahead the the idea. We were just seeing what people think.
I also apologise if I seem unaware of the major coding changes. Although I have done ICT GCSE, I only did a bit of coding and therefore I may seem naive when it comes to the fact of creating this section.
