CAN I MAEKZ MATEZ?!?
aka The Reason Dakota Took Her Characters Off The Market.
Seriously guys, I like sharing mates with someone else as much as the next person, but it's just too much now. You know when you're on Youtube and there's that one person who writes 'first comment!' That's essentially what this has turned itself into. 99.5% of the time I look at a new character, there will always be someone asking to make a crush/mate/cubs for them. And that's fine, when the character is fleshed out enough, not when it was put up five minutes ago.
Not to mention once the characters become mates, they essentially become baby factories, and their babies become baby factories, and rinse and repeat.
I'm not targeting anyone specifically, and I know many have said their points on this for a while now, so I felt it was my turn to put my two cents into the matter.

Hana Saku - I'm the same way. Unless you ask me if I would like to
make a mate for your character, I never go out and outright ask
someone if I can make a crush for their character xD *shrugs* And
thank you! Fallen (alright if I still call you this? xD) - YES. I can't. Just because you think my character is adorable doesn't mean that he/she needs a love interest. It really is annoying... |

I SO get you, Dakota. (It's Fallen, by the way XD) This "Can I plz
maek mate cuz I wanna cuz he's so adorable if not that's ok:3" thing
has really got out of control. And, the most fun part is, when you say
no, they're like "Awww but I wanted to maek teh mate  " ...-.- it's
just so annoying. |

I never ask anyone if I could make a mate for them. I'm the receiver
most of the time, not the giver. You draw really good by the way ^^ |

Nama - Don't worry, you're not the only one. My biggest issue with
this, besides the fact that I may have already had plans for this
character, is the competition behind it. It's like 'oh I gotta beat
someone else to it!' And then just leaving it at that, and having
NOTHING done with the couple afterwards. Like I said in the

I understand how you feel Dakota, I feel the same way when I get a
load of those comments and especially when I've already made plans for
that character. It gets very frustrating VERY fast. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. |

Gruvu - Yeah, it's just a bit TOO much... Claire & RainbowMegan - Guys, I'm not trying to target anyone personally concerning the matter. This is all just a general standpoint on the matter, and I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm pointing fingers at anyone in particular. That's not what I want to do at all. Rebekah_the_Lion - Thanks! And I taught myself xD I started drawing on Paint about seven years ago and have just improved and developed my style since then. Even though I wouldn't even say this is my best drawing xD It's actually quite lazy. |
