Finally this thing is done. The amount of times Photoshop crashed while making this has kinda taken away the joy of having finished it, but oh, well... For the contest over at The Lion King Fan Art Archive. And this time the theme was to redesign the cover art for one of the TLK films, and I won! Still can't believe that xP
Mine is a dramatic cover for Simba's Pride. I started out with a different concept, but I saw that so many others had already used basically the same (rather obvious) idea so I went for this instead. Only Kiara, Simba and Zira made it onto this cover but they are -the- key characters of the film, so I consider it okay. Our heroine Kiara is the focus of the picture, and is running, for dramatic effect :B (though she does do quite a bit of running in the film, haha) Also using the original SP logo, because it is heaps better than the Special Edition-one =P I couldn't find a hi-res version of it though, so it's a little pixel-y here unfortunately. Hopefully the colours of this are alright as well; I'm not using my usual monitor at the moment...
It's a tad wonky, but isn't all Disney cover art these days? 8P
The logo is Disney's, obviously; Pride Rock referenced from a screenshot; used =charfade's tree brushes for those trees and I had the aid of a 3D model for Kiara's pose.
