Shani and Mal

Malatok turned away from the amber lioness, conscious of the scars overlapping his blind left eye. He didn't want her to see the tears forming there.

"Why do you care?" He mumbled, lowering his eyes to stare listlessly at the dry ground. Shani responded by placing her paw tenderly on his.

"How could I not?"

So I decided one of my oldest chars deserved a happy ending and so I have shacked him up with Shani, Simba and Nala's youngest daughter. They meet after Mal is sent on his way by King Khari, and at the same time Shani is visiting her family in the Pridelands. Malatok takes a liking to her and pursues her, they get to know one another and here, he's telling her about his sad past even though he thinks she will run a mile. Her reaction however, is quite the opposite.
