It's a scene where Muffy gives Taka the scar because he lost his temper, but immediately regretted the action and I wanted to take a chance and make them cubs, I just thought it would be more traumatic for Taka if he got the scar as a cub, because then he'd live with the memory of that for much longer, building up more bitterness towards Mufasa. This was really just a practice for a harsh mood, I doubt it would fit in the comic
