Practice bits

Well, these are bits of lion features, each from different lions (excluding the paws bit. That I played about with) just to help me practice a bit with drawing lions.

While doing this, I was reminded by my biggest pet peeve with people on this site: How they'll take, say, Nala, give her a paw colour and edit her colours: Boom, Kiara.
It's not as simple as that: They have differences, albeit small, that really define them and make them different from each other. Sure they may seem simmilar, of course they would be, they're related: But they're not exact.

This also counts for when people put Kovu's colours on Scar and his build. They're completely different.

I think I may have actually come subject to this and done it myself at some point so I shouldn't say anything, but I do try to edit in my renders so that they're not just generic clones... But I mean, there's so much of it on this site... BLEH.

Anyway, these were referenced from several different screenshots, as it's just for practice.
