"Give me One Reason..."
ROA-AAAR!
- Don't eat me!- cried the Red-billed Hornbill
The lioness growled -Give me one reason why I shouldn't! - Her lips curled into a vicious snarl. - Or it's all over for you, Ducky -
The Hornbill shivered terribly - Because....because.....- she stammered.
-Yes? Yes? Yes!?- snarled the female lion impatiently. She edged closer to the bird.
-B..b...b..b.. because I am Kaliia, a Majordomo -
The lioness blinked, she looked blankly at the Hornbill, Kaliia, and then burst out laughing. - Majordomo! You! Hahahaha!-
Then she paused. -What on earth is a Domo?-
-And WHAT does it do that is so-ooo important...?- she said slowly, continuing to come nearer towards the bird.
-Well, I...- croaked Kaliia, stepping back and trying to get as far from the lioness as possible. She wanted to fly, but the lioness was right next to her now, and had it's paw tightly around her body.
-I make arrangements - said Kaliia.
-Not good enough- said the lion, squeezing her in her paw and drawing the bird close. - Anything else...?-
- I also take charge of things if needed! - she cried - And act on behalf of my leader if she is absent...!-
The lion paused and put her muzzle right up to the bird's face, her breath blew into Kaliia's frightened face....
-Who is your...leader...?-
-I have quite a few actually, but one is - Queen Safi!- croaked the bird.
The lioness dropped the bird, her face in a daze. Kaliia fell to the ground and sighed with relief.
