Weak Son
I was thinking... what if Nuka wasn't Zira's son, but yes, from Scar and Sarabi? Maybe Scar wanted Sarabi to be his queen and give him a heir, but since both were too old to mate, Sarabi gave birth to Nuka, a weak cub. Scar gave Nuka to Zira even with Sarabi's protests and made Zira his queen. Many months later, Vitani and Kovu were born...

Good idea, but I'm not convinced Nuka was weak... I feel that he seems
underfed and neglected. But maybe that's just part of it. |
