Simba - Flights of Angels
Now cracks a noble heart.
Good-night, sweet prince;
May flights of angels
sing thee to thy rest.
I wish they had used the original / earlier ending to the film wherein Scar accidentally reveals to Simba that he killed Mufasa, then says that line ( Good night, sweet prince... ) and throws Simba off the cliff. The storyboard is so messy I'm not sure what happened afterwards but I guess Simba survived and Scar died... Anyway, this was inspired by that (and generally the fact that TLK bases on Hamlet.)

Sad, sad scene  I cry when Simba says: 'Dad? Dad come on, you gotta get up. Dad? Dad we gotta go home." It's just so sad, he knows his father has died but doesn't want to believe it, and the music just makes it more upsetting Great picture, really grabs the whole feel of the scene |
