Parallel Universe : Lost Queen
This is my design/version of Nala. In this parallel universe the beautiful Queen Mother is locked up inside of Pride Rock when her son decides to take over. She is treated as a guest but not allowed any visitors or to go out anywhere without Kion's approval and an escort. She's torn between her loyalty to her daughter and the fact that she still loves her son, despite his misdeeds.
I imagine that after some time, she eventually realizes that helping Kiara reclaim the throne is for the best and tries to help from inside the Pride Lands despite her limited power.
