Finally A Part
Xolani stood a little way away as Ari and her mate Maalik talked. She was too far away to know what they were talking about, but she stayed to give them their privacy. Even a leader needed some time alone with her mate.
Just before she could turn and leave, Ari turned and saw her. She exchanged a glance with Maalik and then nodded to Xolani. Xolani walked over to them, feeling a little shy.
''Yes, Xolani?'' Ari asked.
''Well, I've been thinking about it, and I think I have something to say.'' Xolani said, her confidence building up with each word she said.
''Yes?'' Ari asked again.
''I thought living with the humans was home, but I was wrong. I think I finally realized where I belong.'' Xolani said.
''And where would that be?'' Ari asked.
''Right here. I never realized it until now, but all those times I thought about home, I never realized one thing: I already was home.''
Ari stepped forward and pulled Xolani into a quick nuzzle. It was the type of nuzzle a mother would give to her child. ''I'm glad you finally found your place, Xolani.''
''So am I.'' Maalik said. ''Welcome to the pride, Xolani.''

Really wanted to do this. I wanted to render Ari and Xolani, but since this was the only picture I could find, I put Maalik into it too. Hope you like it, Nama and Dakota^^
