. . . There was no catch, it seemed. Lagiza was actually alone, with no followers at his back. He was easy to fend off, and Kyle, Keira, Kelele, Zeke, Jot and his daughter Lynnie left the old enemy, and started their journey home. They rested in the hills while the snow began to melt away. While Zeke goes on a solo patrol, Kyle and Keira take watch that night -
The couple talk through their watch, and discuss the recent drama; voicing there suspicions that it had been all too easy - where was Lagiza's Tribe? Had it really diminished to next to nothing? Kyle and Keira didn't think so . . .
'Something's up, Keira. I know it . . . '
