Very little is known about this season, as it has only just begun to air- but at this moment in time, we have had several sneak peeks and the first two eps, which introduce a new villain- Starlight Glimmer, a unicorn mare with a different idea of Friendship to that of the rest of Equestria.

We will also get to see Twilight Sparkle trying to adjust to her new living space: a large, tree like castle, which she gained at the end of the last season.

And, with an exciting special 100th episode confirmed, that will feature some of the background characters coming into the spotlight, it's sure to be exciting.
