My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a Canadian/American Flash animated cartoon series about six closely bonded ponies: the magical Twilight Sparkle, the loyal Rainbow Dash, the generous Rarity, the honest Applejack, the humorous Pinkie Pie, and the kind Fluttershy. These best friends are on a mission, brought about them by Princess Celestia, who reins over all of the magical land of Equestria, to discover the meaning of friendship and what it has to offer. Twilight Sparkle is to report to the princess her findings and the learned lessons, to better their friendship, and the harmony of Celestia's kingdom. This animated series has won high praise for excellent character development, smooth animation, and relatable storyline. It has also won a very peculiar fan-base, but nevertheless this series proves that people of all ages can enjoy this wonderful creation by well-known animator and producer: Lauren Faust.
