Hello Animation Source users,

Lately, the site has been the victim of several DDOS attacks and various SPAM issues.
All this highlights that unfortunately, I don't have the necessary time to manage this site properly anymore, and haven't been able to for years now.

So, it is time for me to let go and give the baby!
I am looking for someone who would be ready to take on the site, motivated to make it enter a new era!

It was bought to my attention someone deleted the site rules by mistake on the forums when trying to deal with the bots some months ago

Hi All!

One week left for the next SOTW theme challenge. I have seen many lovely images over the last few weeks fitting the theme but not much fanart!
If you plan on doing the theme please try to have the fanart/image submitted by 11pm on friday the 20th GMT! This will give Time for the winners to be picked. I know I put the 21st on the last post but I forgot about time zones when I posted that.

Due to lack of content sent the theme for sotw has not been used this week.

As this is still on trial we will be trying to see if perhaps a month would work better for the theming. So for this next theme you will have until july 25th to submit to the theme: Family.

Please post in the image desc if you are doing the image for the theme as this will help let us know, if you feel we might miss it just comment below with the link.

SOTW theme trial

Hello all
I had the idea to try and theme the SOTW every 2 weeks and so we will be trying this on on LKS for the months of june and July.

As you may have seen in the rolling banner the first theme we are using is ‘pride’ and the SOTWs will be picked on june 7th (gmt), i will be posting the new theme on the rolling banner.

As a reminder SOTW/must-see images must feature official characters , OCs can be in the image but they must only be a minor part ,the main focus must be on [...]

Some of you may have been affected by a minor glitch with images/fanart, in which once an image is accepted it won’t appear as new. It will show in your gallery just not as new.

Should this happen to you please PM me as soon as you can, I will be able to fix the issue and let us know who it's affecting so we can see if there is a trend.

Starting 5th of april 12am (GMT) there will be 12 easter eggs hidden round the animation source for you all to find. Each egg has a character's name on it. The first person to find all 12 and pm me with the characters on each egg will get a character or image/fanart made selection of the week from april 12th-april 19th.

So far we have not said anything about allowing Asian animals on LKS. We are aware of them appearing in The Lion Guard (along with polar bears and moose) and have brought it up among us mods.

THE LION KING TEASER TRAILER

Three days ago Disney gave us our first sneak peak trailer for the upcoming live action The Lion King remake. The film, which is a live action remake, is set to be released next summer on July 19th in the United States. Other countries will release on the 17th, 18th, 25th, 20th, and 26th.
