Personality: 

Chloe is sweet and playful in personality, but very aware of what others might be thinking of her, and tends to bend to meet the expectations folk have of her. She is extremely proud. As a mother she is loving, making the best out of the situation for the interests of her pups- even when it goes against her own wishes. Her first loyalty is, however, to her humans.

Background:

Raised as a pet and show dog, Chloe lived her whole life the relative comfort of an expensive New York apartment where she was doted on by her human masters. Her career as a show dog earnt her quite a reputation which she has happy to live up to. Never did she imagine that she might fall for a dog off the streets. She met Storm whilst enjoying a run in the park, and they became lovers. The freedom and joy she felt in his company was unlike anything she'd experienced before, and it allowed her take the risk of being found out to be consorting with a common stray. It all came crashing down when carelessness led to Chloe falling pregnant with Storm's pups. Ashamed to be carrying mixed-breed pups fathered by a street dog, she ended the relationship and never saw him again.

Chloe gave birth to seven pups; two boys; Charlie and Archer, and five girls; Casey, Misty, Lola, Rita and Willow, leaving her masters aghast. Whatever her humans might have thought, Chloe adored her babies and raised them with a great deal of love and affection. Life became more difficult for the little family as the masters struggled to find homes for the puppies, leaving Chloe feeling all the more guilty. With the threat of the remaining pups being taken to the pound or dumped on the streets hanging over them, Chloe tried desperately to calm the turmoil that had grown amongst them as the stress of rejection caused the family relationships to crumble. As time ran out, Chloe allowed her little Rita to run away with her friends to start a life as a street dog, despite her own feelings. She could not save Willow though, and the youngest puppy was taken to the pound, breaking Chloe's heart.

Her puppies who she loved a thing of the past, Chloe went along with her masters as they moved away from the city. Gutted by her failure to keep Willow safe, she welcomed a chance to have a fresh start and to try and put it all behind her. Life returned to normal for Chloe, but thoughts of her children would never be far from her mind.
