History: Noble and his friends, Dayana and Kip, lived at strays. Their home would be the roofs of buildings! They were safe from cars and humans there. But they sometimes would come down inside the building and cause chaos with the humans. This is a way they got food, by stealing it from inside. Noble also got food from rubbish that blew to the roofs. 
They would move from building to building.
Noble was the most dim-witted of the group. He was forever coming to Kip for advice as he was not smart enough to know the answer. 
One day, after being inside a building, they ran out to the roof. But the humans now followed them there! The dogs jumped off, landing in lots of grass. Fortunately, the building was not high. But the dogs were away from each other now. Dayana went off. Soon, Kip and Noble found each other. 
The tracked down Dayana by following her paw prints. She was living with a teen age girl in a house. When the girl left the room, Kip called Dayana to the window. Kip and Noble said they wouldn’t want to live here, so Dayana would have to make the decision whether to come with them or to stay here. That night, Dayana escaped and went with her friends.
One day, Dayana found a different crush. Noble was upset, and didn’t even want to confess his love for her. He thought it wouldn’t help. Anyway, one day he met a dog called Gloria. They fell in love. Noble was just afraid that Gloria wouldn’t like him if she finds out how brainless he was. But being with her helped him learn and grow more intelligent.
