Personality: He's quite a friendly and kind of a klutzy fellow. Romeo is a goofy guy who likes having fun, but doesn't like playing cruel jokes on others, and expects others to respect him and treat him like he treats them. Romeo has a very caring attitude but he can be very serious when it comes to sever issues. Though not overly flirty and girl hungry, Romeo does go out with girls a lot, mostly on double dates with his buds. He isn't a true cheater, but he'll do so to get what he wants if he sees cheating as necessary. Parents: His mother, Rita's aunt, was a purebred saluki and his father was a rottweiler

History: Both Romeo and Reneé were accident puppies; their father and mother went to obedience school together and the rottweiler somehow got their mother pregnant when he mistook her for another saluki he was dating (their dad had bad eyesight, so blame it on that).
Nine weeks passed and their mother gave birth to them, but she chased her "mate" out of town after she found out that he accidently got her pregnant.
She refused to nurse Romeo and Reneé because they looked too much like their father: black fur and brown rottie markings. The puppies' mother's owner hand fed them and bought another puppy, a saluki and great dane mix who looked nothing like Romeo, in hopes of getting the mother to nurse him and eventually nurse her birth-puppies. That never happened and the owner was forced to give them all to the pound at a month old.
At the pound, Romeo and his siblings got separated almost immediately. While living in different cages, Romeo saw a small white puppy across the aisle from his cage. She was pretty and he kept his eyes on her for the remainder of the time he was in the pound. Unfortunately, a couple came in one day saying that they had lost a white puppy and went to the girl dog's cage.
When the pound employee opened the cage, the white puppy dashed out of the place and Romeo hoped that she had gotten out to the streets unharmed.

The younger puppy got adopted by a nice little family, but since he was desperately trying to reach his sister, Romeo caused hug disturbances and disorder to the point where his new owners dumped him out on the streets.
Soon, Romeo made his home with a few puppies who lived amongst some older dogs. This is where he met up with Rita, his younger cousin who used to visit him and Reneé when they were living with their mother. Rita introduced him to her friends DeSoto, Roscoe and Dodger, all of them gave Romeo mixed feelngs about hanging out with his cousin.
All of the dogs lived under the rules set by Erikson, DeSoto and Roscoe's father; Romeo hated the older Dobermann and already disapproved of his sons being around Rita. Romeo began to have more hatred toward Roscoe when he tried to out the moves on his cousin after Rita had said no over and over to him.
Romeo took things into his own paws and beat up Roscoe pretty bad; this resulted in DeSoto and a few of the other dogs ganging up on him and giving him a beat down. After the fight, Erikson kicked Romeo out of the pack, leaving the already street-smart dog on his own.
About a year later, Romeo found out that his sister was with a new family and they had moved to NYC. He sought her out without much trouble (she had already made a few friends in the city) and they had a nice little reunion. Afterwards, Romeo managed to convince Reneé into ditching her human family to live an exciting life on the streets of New York. The two dogs ventured everywhere together and finally made it all the way down to the docks. There they saw a run-down looking boat house down there in the water. Of course, the two figured that someone was living there, but the siblings' could keep a firm hold on their curiosity and went down to investigate.
When they entered, Romeo and his sister were almost immediately held hostage in the shabby boat by a white and brown, bandanna-wearing pooch, a bulldog, a Great Dane, a hyper chihuahua, and a brown saluki...
Romeo didn't hesitate to plow into his cousin who he hadn't seen in over a year. Rita was startled by the action, and Romeo left the other dogs and Reneé surprised and speechless.
After another awesome reunion, Rita introduced Romeo and Reneé to her friends; Dodger, the bandanna pooch, recognized Romeo after a second and the black saluki mix remembered him, too.
After getting acquainted to each other, all seven dogs just lounged around and talked until a man came in. This was Rita and her friends' owner, Fagin. Romeo thought that the guy wouldn't have a warm welcoming to him and his sister and prepared to split, but after some persistent "oh, c'mon, you'll love it here"s from Rita and a few scratches behind the ears from Fagin, Romeo immediately changed his mind (much to Reneé's dismay) and promised Rita that he would stay as part of the gang...just as long as he didn't have to live permanently on that boat.

A few days later, Romeo was outside of the Company's boat house. He was just lounging around when a white dog turned the corner and they made eye contact. Turns out that this dog, Celina was her name, was the same one who he had saw in the pound all those years ago. It didn't take long for the two to start talking and they soon became friends.

Relation to Oliver and Co.: He is the older cousin of Rita and has lived with her, Dodger, DeSoto and Roscoe in a stray pack of dogs during his teenaged years. As an adult, Romeo met Rita's other friends and their owner, Fagin; Romeo gave in to Rita's pleas and became part of Dodger's gang.
