Personality:

As a result of her background, Willow is very wary and does not trust easily. She hides behind a wall of snide remarks and hostility, letting her softer side show only to those who deserve it. She has no time for the arrogance or showing-off of others. Willow is all bark and no bite, and is easily unsettled and will avoid actual fights at all costs. Towards her close friends, Flash, Bruiser, Charlie and Jellybean, she is loving, protective and open, which is extended sometimes to Rita as well. 

Background:

Willow was the youngest of seven, born to show Saluki Chloe in a nice apartment. The pups' early weeks were difficult as they struggled to find homes; sired by a street dog, they were little wanted, and influenced by their mother's shame at producing a litter by such a dog. Initially, Willow had enjoyed a close relationship with Rita, as they both fell outside the litter's main clique, largely because Rita was constantly butting heads with the eldest of the litter, Casey, who was by far the most dominant and often picked on the vulnerable Willow. The relationship between Willow and Rita all but fell apart when there were just the three pups remaining in need of homes, and Casey instantly changed her attitude toward Willow. It was around this time that Rita started running off during the day with a pair of street dogs, and by the time Casey had left for a new home, there was a great rift between Rita and Willow. While her sister was out roaming the city with her new friends, Willow was taken to the pound as their human masters finally gave up on finding her a home, as they packed up and left the apartment. Fearful for her life, Willow spent several long days at the pound before being adopted by a couple who would give her away to an abusive owner after just a few weeks. For three years Willow lived chained to a kennel in a filthy yard, alongside Flash, a pit bull mix, who was her only source of comfort and friendship. Finally, they were unchained one day by visiting relatives and took their chance to escape. The pair got separated in an encounter with a gang of street dogs, and after weeks of wandering alone, Willow encountered Rita who helped her find shelter in an old abandoned warehouse that was used as a hangout for stray dogs. It took many months for Willow to rebuild her relationship with her sister, whom she blamed for leaving her to be thrown into the pound. Eventually, Willow was reunited with Flash, and they formed a family together with Flash's friends Bruiser and Charlie. She found an orphaned pup alone in a cold alleyway and took her back to the warehouse to raise as her own. Named 'Jellybean' by Charlie, the pup became the apple of Willow's eye.
