Welcome to Princess & The Frog Source!
The Princess & The Frog is Disney's first attempt to bring back the Disney classic animation style that has been successful for more than 70 years.
The story is based on the fairy tale "The Frog Princess". The action takes place in New Orleans : the prince Naveen, is changed into a frog by a mysterious wizard. In an attempt to get back to his human form, he mistakes Tiana, a black young woman, for a princess... who is turned into a frog as result.
This is a musical animated film, in the same tradition that Walt Disney brought since Snow White. Although, when compared to the classic Disney Princess films, it has a modern feeling : the prince is a bit on the womanizer side, and Tiana isn't the typical princess either, being hard working and having a strong personality.
The film has been released widely in theaters on December 11th, 2009 in the USA, which makes it the first traditionally animated Disney film released in theaters in five years. (since Home on the Range)
Will this film bring back the GOOD hand drawn films and lower the CGI/3D crude-humor films trend? Will Disney consider making more magic animated gems like they used to, being followed and taken for reference by the other companies instead of the opposite? This will all depend on the film success!

This cool video game project on "indiegogo" (a similar site to kickstarter) has just been funded, but as it's still running for a day, I thought some of you might be interested into it!
