(I'm putting this in the fanart section as well so I can remake the information when the new image and information come in.)
Before I decided to use him as a Princess and the Frog fan character:
Named after a French philosopher who commited suicide, but really, that isn't important.
I noticed nobody focuses on the insects of the Corpse Bride as they really should be so I created this little guy.
Entry for Lily-Pily's OC contest: http://lily-pily.deviantart.com/journal/21776022/
Name: Deleuze
Nickname:Mr. Mantis
Race: insect
Age:15 years, but it doesn't matter since he lives in the world of the dead.
Height:6 inches
Eyes:black pupils
Hair:black eyebrows
Personality:experienced, stern, fatherly
History:Teacher of the deceased children of the afterlife. He brought himself into asking the spiders to construct clothing to make him feel more human-wise to instruct a sense of professionalization towards to youth in the area. Being meager in size, the children tease him without a sense to listen to the poor man. Other than that, he just continues to have a effort into teaching the children.
Tends to visit Elder Gutknecht time to time to learn in just for the conversation.

The new commentary.
Here's my character, Deleuze Mantis.
I'll post a new picture of him later, but I wanted to state this character as a Princess and the Frog related character so I can get his name on the original character list on this site.
By the way, I figure that I should just do the Osamu Tezuka/Hanna-Barbarra method with my characters: If a character looks like he or she could fit in the story, use them.
The main difference with the story above is that in the PATF universe, he teaches cockroaches and other insects in Eudora's(Tiana's mother) tailor shop, which he stole the materials to make his clothes. Not technically doing for ill-manners, he realizes that he stole the material for reasons of his own "nudity" which he wanted to feel more human by making his own clothes.
Another reason, if you read above, I wanted to make a character that wasn't another "princess". Princesses are already too common. In fact, Tiana isn't really a princess for most of the film, she never thought of being a princess. Even at the end, she really intends to be a cook, even with a "princess" title(even if that doesn't matter to her that much).
The face image that I use for the button was actually my prize from the contest I entered. The same Lily-Pily(the one mentioned above) redrew Deleuze, and so I thought it would be perfect as a face button.
