More like "what dat"? People on here are always using acronyms for everything, bring up subjects no one has ever heard of, or type things that simply don't make any sense. (I'm just messin' for the sake of fun lol)

Hello! I'm a 22-year-old from the state of Michigan, where earthquakes (I'm being sarcastic, but we did have a small earthquake back in 2015), warm winters, and never ending road constructions occurs! =D Did I mention that it fries during the summer? lol

I've been a fan of Balto since I was a child. I don't remember when I first saw the film, but I think it was either in 97 or 98. And unlike like a lot of people (mostly newer fans), I consider myself to be a TRUE fan of the film and its history. I'm not saying all fans are like this, but a lot of people seem to love the film's merchandise more than the film itself.�

Back in October of 2006, my parents took me and a friend down to the Cleveland museum of Natural History. I remember I could hardly contain myself once I caught a glimpse of Balto. I could have stayed there for hours, but we quickly moved on to other parts of the museum. I hope to one day make it back to the museum. I would also like to visit the statue in Central park, then make my way to Alaska.

I'm not bragging in any way, but I own a piece of artwork from the film. It's a storyboard of Star removing the golden collar from Steele, which is a scene that was cut from the film! While storyboards are very easy to get ahold of, there's just something special about owning a piece of artwork that played a roll in a film you grew up with and love.

I can come off as a grouchy user at times, but I'm really not like that. Anyone who knows me well can easily tell you that I'm a fun, loyal and kind person. I just don't respond well to annoyances or immaturity. I'm also not a social butterfly, so I don't warm up to people as quickly as some others do. But if I do happen to click with you (I don't do the whole friend request thing, you can be sure I'll stick with you.�

I joined this site back in 2007 (I was once a moderator of Balto Source (from 2008 till 2010), then a admin for The Lady and The Tramp Source. Nowadays I'm a global site builder for the Sources) when it was just Balto and The Lion King Source. Animation Source didn't come into the picture until August (I think) 2009. The site was a lot better back in the day to say the least. While AS has improved within the last year, a lot of the current users aren't what I call fans. Role-palying, making characters (bad ones), and rendering is what mostly occurs these days. Most people could care less about the film of concern.

I'm not a moderator, so I can't help you if you're having a problem with another user, a submission, etc. Please send those types of questions to the mods.

The tech stuff

I use a 13' Macbook Pro with retina display, and 8GB of ram. I know a lot of people frown upon Macs (because they aren't good for gaming, limited on applications, and because they're pricey), but I'm quite happy with mine. I've had a few hiccups with this machine, but that can happen to any device. But compared to most Windows computers, this has been a far better experience. I don't hate Windows, or any other OS (although I don't like the whole big brother approach Microsoft is taking with Windows 10), I just don't think Windows is for me. I like having a computer that just works. But I also respect those who use Windows. I'm not one of those people who bash others because of their operating system of choice. In fact, I've used all of the basic operating systems that I know of. Those being Windows, Linux (Mint in my case), Mac OS X, iOS, and Android.�

The Pets

I've had a handful of pets over the years (birds, rabbits dogs, a cat, and a mouse), but I'll just stick to the main three. I'll start off with my first dog.

Lila

Lila, a beagle mix, was my first dog. We don't know how old she was when we adopted her back in 2003, but she was at least six months to a year. Unfortunately, on June 18th, 2015, she had to be put to sleep. She had been dealing with a heart murmur for a year (she was born with it, but it only got worse with age). She also had occasional issues with arthritis in her back.

Melvin

I adopted Melvin on 9/11/12. I was a volunteer at my local Humane Society (just to make it clear, I support animal welfare, not animal rights) at the time, and I was looking for a cat to adopt, as I was planning on moving out at the time. My mother told me to let the cat choose me, and I did. Of all the cats in the shelter, it was Melvin who interacted with me (he's a social cat who likes to play and cuddle) the most. The other cats could care less. lol I don't know much about his past, but I do believe he was a surrender. His adoption papers mention that he was born on August 15th, 2011. He's a good boy for the most part, but he can be annoying at times. lol

Lucy

Lucy is a young Australian Shepherd that my parents adoped in December 2015. I don't know much about her past, but what I do know is she was found running in a rural area in Ohio. She ran free for about two months before someone was able to catch her. She had one other home before she found her forever home with us (she's my mother's dog, but I live at home for the time being), but the woman who adopted her had to give her up after a month, as the woman she was moving in with had pet allergies.
