Hi, Rio Source. It's been a while since a fan news has been posted in here, so I thought, as part of the ongoing Animation Source Choice Awards, you'd like to know just how well Rio has been doing in the awards!

The nominees are in, and it turns out Rio has the most nominations, with a total of 17 spread over 12 categories! This is great news for Rio, and this may be the show that gives the film the most awards! (The film has also been nominated for "Best Song" at the Academy Awards, the highest honor a film can get.)

The nominations Rio has received are:

Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Voice Actor (Jesse Eisenberg and George Lopez), Best Voice Actress (Anne Hathaway and Leslie Mann), Best Animation, Film Most Likely to Recieve a Sequel, Best Score, Best Song (Hot Wings (I Wanna Party) and Real in Rio), and Fan Favorite. On top of that, Rio Angry Birds has recieved a nomination for Best Animated Video Game.
