Released in 2017, the show follows Spirit (the son of Spirit and Rain from "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" according to Aury Wallington the Executive Producer) on his adventures and a girl called Lucky making friends enjoying freedom and endless rides.

It is said that this is a series that has been inspired by the "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" film and that the "Spirit: Riding Free" Spirit is not the same horse in the movie.

Xerxes - Black horse, the horse of Grayson

Sagebrush - a grulla horse who belongs to the Prescotts

Governor - A brown foal from Spirit Jr.'s herd

Miz McDonnell - A lady who bought Spirit Jr. at a horse auction

Hester - a young girl who (with Miz McDonnell) bought Spirit

Clancey - a gander who lives in the Prescott home

Mixtli - An Indian, the owner of Crow

Crow - A brown Indian horse who belongs to Mixtli

Althea - a plump woman who owns an inn
