Question :

I was wondering if we were aloud bisexual or gay characters. I wasn't planning on making any, but I've seen them on Balto source and was wondering if it was aloud. Because well it is real and Spirit Of The Cimarron is exactly realistic its self considering the horses have eye brows and show alot more emotion than real horses would. So are they alouid?

First, I'm going to de-bunk this statement as a REAL LIFE horse trainer. If you KNOW horses, you know that the body language the horses show in the movie is correct for their emotions (horses DO have them, and do display them -- some more than others). As a CARTOON anchored towards young children the eye brows and humanesque eyes were added so the viewers KNOW what the character is feeling, as opposed to limiting it to only knowledgeable horse people who can "read the signs," even when they're subtle (which horse trainers do). Because lets face it, MOST of the Spirit fan base doesn't know the difference between a real horse (and it's behavior/signs of emotion) from a horse turd on the road.

Now, on to the real question. It isn't a matter if it's "realistic" compared to the movie or not. Would I make a bi-sexual or gay character? No, but that is just personal preference. (Even though I DO know two mares who throw themselves into heat for other mares.)

Personally, I would allow them as long as they aren't being used as a tool to "rub it in peoples' faces." I would also say it has to maintain a PG nature (nothing racy). These things have been said by Steet in the past, as well.

huh, good question Amy. I mean I've seen people in the past make gay and bisexual characters on SS but I'm unsure if they are still up. Or allowed. Maybe one of the Mods will be able to answer your question.
