Makes sense. I've had the same happen to me with a few of my own characters.

She could have made up the name. A bunch of characters have the same names out of coincidence. If she did get the name from the show, then it's probably because she liked the name. I do like the name myself, but I wouldn't use it for a Spirit character. I can see a pegasis having the name or a peaceful dragon with bird wings, but not a normal horse. Although, Skyress is a beautiful mare, none the less.

I would not know. I don't watch that show, and this character does not belong to me. She belongs to a friend that requested me to draw her beside spirit.

Not bad. Although when I saw the name Skyress I couldn't help thinking of the character from Bakugan.

, thanks :3 I first used a Manga Studio, it helps keep the lines straight then I copy and pased it to Photoshop, where I cut out all the white and then I color it and do the background It wasn't easy but I'm very proud of it.
