ok so i have never read the spirit book by Kathlyeen Duey so i dont know if she included how strider and Esperanza met one another but.. i did this

Strider was walking through the forest he was mad his dad wouldnt show him how to herd mares, *your too young* he thought to himself the words he said, he looked down at the ground and kicked a rock, *One of these days -_-* he said, Strider was in no mood but he heard playful giggling and headed toward the sound, he came across a palomino filly chasing a butterfly and it was like an angel was in his presence but better yet like he was in the prescence of an angel Strider decided to leave her alone and went to walk away but walked face SMACK! into a tree, *OW!* he hollered as he hit the ground, The little filly stopped chasing the butterfly and looked over and giggled when she noticed the little colt she walked over, HI! I'm Espy thats short for Esperanza she said chipperly, he looked at her regaining his focus. He just looked at her, not being able to speak, she looked at him confused, Don't you know how to talk? she asked, but before he could answer she heard a voice calling her it was soft but she knew what it was, *Esperanza! Darling come along!* the soft voice echoed through the forest, Espy looked at Strider and hollered back, *COMING MOMMA!!* she jumped around and began to trot back toward the voice as strider got up to his feet, *See you around cutie!* she flirted. Strider shook his head and then went to walk off but once again walked into the tree as Espy raced off toward her mum.
