Darknight asked for an image, and gave me this description to go on:

I imagine Ice growing steadily more and more distressed as he searches for his missing mare, only to find her in the building snow, already in well on in her labor. Even with his stony personality, he can't help but feel worried for her and their soon-to-be-born foals.
