A Talespin fan has dedicated some of his time to write what could become a Talespin live action film. This is an interesting idea, and actually it goes a little beyond that.
I'll let you watch the videos and you'll understand why...
To tell the truth, I'm not surprised Disney rejected it. No major companies read the fans scripts, they just never do because they don't want someone suing them for "taking the ideas" - I knew that.
It's already very difficult to get an answer from them...And it's not only Disney, but all major companies have the same policy. A shame, though, because they really don't do any efforts to stick with their fans either...

I don't think it would cost less with live action actually, that
depends more on the budget they'd use. I would MUCH PREFER an animated film. Even CGI. TaleSpin wouldn't be TaleSpin without anthros. |

And if they agreed to film the live-action movie with antropomorphic
chatacters, how can they depict them? With those costumes that are in
Disneyland? Animatronic ones? Or such way like in Romanian movie
"Mama"? |

I've been thinking for years that an animated big screen feature film
tying up unanswered questions would be a great idea. But I also like
Stephen Langton's idea of a live action film of Talespin. Perhaps an independent film company could make the movie. One way to get around the legal battles without getting in trouble with Disney would be to possibly change the names but keep the character aspects. Maybe change Rebecca Cunningham to Rachel Carr, Molly to Mandy, Kit to Kyle Fairchild and Baloo to Bubba Grumman (Fairchild and Grumman are aircrafts that Conwing was loosely based on). The other characters would also need name changes. |

Plus Disney is in a hole right now due to their greed and corruption
so it's best the Talespin movie idea remains on hiatus until Disney is
taken over by force (by us fans of course ) or someone who knows
what they are doing, believes in independent film making, etc.
Remember they own Hollywood, and Hollywood makes (censored) ty movies these
days. |

yes but he doesn't want the characters to be anthropomorphic (which
that kills the idea for a lot of fans since half is in the furry
fandom). I know because I spoken to him personally, he even sent me
the script (though I will not share because I promised him I wouldn't,
though I am certain he wouldn't mind sharing with anyone who asks) I
too have had a script in mind, but also its a concept of revamping the
story with something different, maybe new characters added with
original staying of course. |
