Ducktales Remastered!

Written by steet :

Yesturday, there was a totally unexpected news that shocked all the video game industry...

After nearly 25 years, the Ducktales NES video game is getting a remake!!! Coming this summer, on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U!

Take a look at any of the news sites comments, to be honest I've never seen gamers being so unanimely positive about a game announcement! Uncle $crooge will make millions again!!!

Now let's hope all this positive buzz will be noticed by Disney and will bring new opportunites for the Disney Afternoon shows overall! Maybe we could see them re-aired? Maybe there will finally be the missing last DVD release for each of these shows?

Will there be a TaleSpin game? maybe, maybe not...unfortunately the NES version of TaleSpin isn't bad but not as fondly remembered as other Disney Afternoon games. Well, at least we're working on getting something new ourselves!

Well, it would be cool if it worked. Personally, I'm hoping for a Talespin world in the next Kingdom Hearts, but I'll be happy for what I can get for the time being. I wonder if a PC version will be available on Steam and Good Old Games.

Ora: Actually, yes I do! I first found out about this from a blog Jymn Magon has. Try googling it and see if you find anything on B-players.

Oh this sounds cool. Oh how I wish talespin could be as popular as Ducktales.

Yeah Steet, I have to agree. Now that you mention it, nobody really DOES seem to remember the Disney afternoon anymore apart from those three shows, which is a shame. (Though I can't say I liked Quack Pack that much- it was a tired old spinoff of Ducktales which by the time Quack Pack came out had more than enough spinoff shows already)

Though I thought I'd dispense a random bit of Talespin trivia: What initially gave Jymn Magon the idea to use Baloo as the main character of Talespin was by simply looking at the concept for an unaired show called B-Players that was being developed in the late 80's. Jymn then looked at the idea he was going to pitch to the suits at the time (allegedly, yet ANOTHER Ducktales-based show starring Launchpad as a cargo pilot), simply swapped out Launchpad McQuack for Baloo and that's how Talespin was born!

Yeah, even if the odds are against us, I wish it will happen anyway!
At least TaleSpin is still more popular than Gummi Bears, Goof Troop, Quack Pack and all the other DA shows no one remembers. I'd say it's the fourth most popular one, but not being on the top 3 always seems to make it the one that is "always left out".
I think they should do a whole new game based on the series, instead of a remake of the NES game. It could be very successful if done well.
Maybe sending them the petition we have could help...I'll try that as soon as Ducktales is released, when the sales will skyrocket :)

A talespin game (official or not) would be AWESOME!

Though I seriously don't know why Talespin seems to be the most underrated of the Disney afternoon shows :/ in my opinion, anyway, it was probably the best.
