Greetings fellow TaleSpin fan! You may be interested to know that a group of fans are currently working to produce a !
Why produce a Virtual Season for TaleSpin? Well, because it ended after only 65 episodes with no conclusion, and it has so much potential! The writing and character dynamics were always spot-on and the stories and plots were entertaining for kids and adults alike. Many TaleSpin fans, especially myself, would like to see new episodes produced to carry on this awesome series, which led us to create a Virtual Season.
How will the Virtual Season be handled? Basically the goal is to emulate the original series very closely, as if it was being done for Disney by Jim Magon and Mark Zaslove. Character dynamics will stay true to the original series and most episodes will focus on the Higher for Hire gang. The Virtual Season will also contain a broad array of types of episodes, mirroring the original series. There will be some deviations however, such as implementing a casual season arc, making more more multi-part episodes, allowing character relationships to evolve over time, and aging the characters gradually. The last two items will only come into play if more than one Virtual Season is produced, so there probably won't be many new relationships or very much character aging this virtual season.
How will the technical aspects be handled? As this is a fan project, resources are understandably limited, so we will be producing it in whatever format we can successfully complete. The goal right now is 13 episodes. Possible formats could range from scripts with a few illustrations to full color comic books. Or, if we get lots of volunteers, limited animation videos may be possible.
So what's been done already? At the moment, a small team of writers and artists has been assembled and the first few episodes have been written and are in the process of being finalized. Once they're finalized, a few illustrations will be done to accompany them.
Can I help? Yes, of course you can! We're always happy to get volunteers! We still need more writers, artists and really anyone who is passionate about TaleSpin and has a desire to help produce a Virtual Season for this awesome series. If you want to help out, you can let us know by posting on the forum or by sending me a private message.
If you have any questions or suggestions, don't be shy, leave a comment or join the discussion at the TaleSpin Virtual Season forum! We hope to hear from you soon!

The exact release date hasn't been nailed down yet, but I'm shooting
for the first or second week of May. There's still a few things left
to do before it's released, some of which are out of my control, so
it's a little hard to give a precise date right now. |

JCalamil => There won't be real animated "episodes", currently we have
written a screenplay for our new "pilot" episode but the result will
be some comics pages. (for now) |

I wanna help out too. I'm chalk fulled of ideas. Why, I'm working on a
series called Trouble Shooters. This is a spinoff crossover between
Superbook and Flying House. And Talespin had an impact on this
series. ![]() |

How did you try adding pictures? (using the text editor?) I have never
seen that error, and it seems it finally worked? About adding a Virtual Season page : I'll add a section on the site and give you the required permissions. EDIT : Done! You can start writing a page. You can also add more pages in that section, if you want. Tell me if you have any problems (check the instructions) |

I tried adding pictures when I first posted it but I got some weird
error saying "uploading to server has been disabled" and to check some
.php file that I forgot the name of. I tried again later and it
worked. No idea. Also, NoScript gave me a "Possible XSS attack"
warning when I submitted the news... Maybe that has something to do
with the website coding? About the VS logo, I'll have to talk to the
artists and come up with something. I was going to ask Opus to whip up
something, but with his current situation, I don't know... Anyway, I'm
thinking I'll create a html page especially for the VS with
information and samples and such some time in the next few days. |
